dConstruct 2007 goodbye
I feel a quick reflection of dConstruct is in order.
With it being my first conference that I have attended there was a high expectation of dConstruct and while I feel it would be unfair and unjust to say that it didn’t meet my expectations, it wasn’t exactly as I had pictured…
The speakers were honestly all brilliant however some of the topics/content was just good not great. From talking to people at the after party the majority agreed with the fact the presentations were merely about things we already knew, yes the iPod is great even my parents know that one.
That being said, I now have a much better understanding of why people say the best things about conferences etc is the parties and just random chat. Simpley put they are 100% correct, I definately found the chit chat with people at both the Heist, the Dome and Above Audio to be excellent and at no time did I feel the newbie odd one out, thanks.
However if I was asked to sum dConstruct up in two words it would be an experience and iPod.
